Ayush Jha – Assistant Professor, Head of Department
- Over 8 years of teaching & research experience in Public International Law, Constitutional Law & Criminal Law.
- B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) – Jamia Millia Islamia; LL.M. – WBNUJS, International Law.
- UGC-NET qualified; pursuing Ph.D. from KLE Technological University, Karnataka.
- Published widely in peer-reviewed, SCOPUS, Web of Science, and UGC CARE journals.
- Trained Indian Forest Officers (IFS) and Karnataka Administrative Services Officers.
Ankita Rituraj – Assistant Professor
- LL.M. in Constitutional & Administrative Law – GNLU; B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) – Christ University.
- UGC-NET qualified (July 2019); pursuing Ph.D. on child rights & criminal law from KLE Tech. University.
- 5+ years teaching experience at KLE Law College & St. Joseph’s College of Law, Bengaluru.

Adarsh Kumar Mishra – Assistant Professor

Srishti Sonkala – Assistant Professor

Pooja Thakur – Assistant Professor
- Ph.D. (pursuing) in Cyber Law & AI; LL.M. in Crime & Tort + Cyber Law.
- Also holds degrees in Economics (M.A.), Law (LL.B.), and Commerce (B.Com).
- 4 years of teaching; prior legal practice at Chhattisgarh High Court and Durg District Court.

Legal Aid Cell
“Justice for All” – Empowering Communities Through Legal Awareness
The Legal Aid Cell of the Department of Law, Shri Shankaracharya Professional University, is a student and faculty-driven initiative committed to promoting access to justice for all, especially the underprivileged, marginalized, and weaker sections of society. This initiative aligns with Article 39A of the Indian Constitution, which mandates the provision of free legal aid and ensures that no citizen is denied justice due to economic or social disability.
Objectives of the Legal Aid Cell:
- To provide free legal advice and assistance to economically weaker sections.
- To promote legal awareness among the local community through legal literacy programs.
- To offer students practical exposure to real legal problems and promote their ethical responsibility as future legal professionals.
- To organize legal awareness camps, seminars, and workshops in collaboration with District Legal Services Authorities (DLSA).
- To act as a bridge between the public and the formal legal system by offering preliminary assistance and referrals.
Who Can Approach Us?
- Women, children, and senior citizens in need of legal help.
- Persons belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes or economically weaker backgrounds.
- Victims of domestic violence, workplace harassment, and cybercrime.
- Persons with disabilities, industrial workers, or any citizen unable to afford legal counsel.
Mode of Operation:
- Legal queries can be submitted in person at the Law Department, through email, or during our legal aid camps.
- All consultations are held in a confidential and professional manner by our legal aid volunteers under the guidance of experienced faculty and practicing advocates.

Moot Court
“Where Theory Meets Practice”
The Moot Court Society of the Department of Law at Shri Shankaracharya Professional University, Bhilai is an academic platform dedicated to cultivating advocacy skills, legal research, and courtroom etiquette among budding legal professionals. Moot courts are a critical part of legal education as mandated under the Bar Council of India’s Legal Education Rules, 2008, and form a vital component of Clinical Legal Education.
π― Objectives of the Moot Court Society:
- To provide students with practical training in legal argumentation and courtroom procedure.
- To encourage legal research, drafting, and oratory skills through simulated court proceedings.
- To prepare students for national and international moot court competitions.
